Privacy Policy

How information moves through ReelCast, and the choices available to you.

Effective November 3, 2026 · Last updated November 3, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This policy describes how ReelCast handles information when you visit reelcast.io, use the app, upload content, or connect social accounts. For privacy questions, requests, or account deletion, contact justin@reelcast.io.

2. Information we handle

  • Account and support information: your email address, profile and workspace information, subscription status, preferences, and messages you send to support.
  • Your content: uploaded recordings and other media, transcripts, captions, generated clips, written copy, brand guidance, and publishing instructions.
  • Connected-account information: platform account identifiers, display names, profile information, connection permissions, authorization credentials handled by our integration providers, and publishing status or errors. The information available depends on the platform and permissions you grant.
  • Billing information: subscription and payment status and transaction identifiers. Stripe processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
  • Usage and technical information: interactions with the service, device and browser information, IP addresses, logs, cookies, and similar identifiers used for sign-in, security, troubleshooting, and product analytics.

3. How information is used

We use information to operate your account, process and store media, generate transcripts and suggested content, provide the features you request, connect accounts, schedule and publish approved content, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, detect abuse, and understand and improve service performance.

When you request AI-assisted features, relevant recordings, transcripts, text, or brand instructions may be sent to the providers that perform those features. Avoid uploading confidential or sensitive information that you do not have permission to process.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

ReelCast uses service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, file storage, AI processing, payments, email, analytics, and social publishing. Depending on the feature and deployment, these include Vercel, Railway, Supabase, Cloudflare, Backblaze, Groq, Anthropic, Stripe, Resend, PostHog, and Zernio. Providers receive information needed for their role and operate under their applicable agreements and policies.

When you choose to publish, your content and associated information are sent to the selected social platform and become visible according to the settings you select there. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, with your direction, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections.

5. Social accounts and YouTube

ReelCast uses Zernio to support social-account connections and publishing. The platform’s authorization screen shows the permissions requested. You can disconnect accounts in ReelCast and revoke permissions directly with the platform. Revocation may prevent scheduled content from publishing and does not delete posts already on the platform.

Supported YouTube features use YouTube API Services. The Google Privacy Policy explains Google’s practices. You can review or revoke access at Google account permissions. To request deletion of information held by ReelCast, email justin@reelcast.io; revoking a connection alone is not an account-deletion request.

6. Cookies and analytics

The application uses cookies or similar storage to maintain sessions and support its features. Product analytics, when enabled, may collect page views and interactions through PostHog. You can manage browser storage and cookie settings in your browser, although blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or other features. These standalone legal pages do not load analytics scripts or set application cookies.

7. Retention, deletion, and security

Information is retained for the purposes described here, taking into account the service feature, plan, account status, operational needs, and legal obligations. Media availability and retention can vary by feature and plan. Some records may remain in backups or be retained for billing, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations after an account is closed.

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting justin@reelcast.io. We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. Your applicable rights and any exceptions depend on where you live. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

8. International users and children

ReelCast and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Privacy laws may differ between countries, and applicable legal protections continue to apply.

ReelCast accounts are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or information practices. The date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will give notice or obtain consent for material changes.
